Manchester United poach coach from Burnley’s goalkeeping department

Burnley goalkeeper coach King has left Turf Moor to join Manchester United's backroom staff under manager Michael Carrick. The 27-year-old will serve as an assistant first-team goalkeeping coach at Old Trafford, working alongside Craig Mawson, who also moved from Burnley to United in 2020.

King came through Burnley's academy as a player before retiring at age 21 and had worked across various coaching roles at the club since 2018. His departure follows that of former set-piece coach Pal Fjelde, who exited manager Nicky Hayen's Burnley coaching staff to join Aston Villa in August.
