Michael Wynn Jones, the husband of TV cook Delia Smith and longtime joint majority shareholder of Norwich City Football Club, has died peacefully at home at the age of 85. The Championship club announced his passing on Monday morning, with tributes pouring in from across English football honoring his substantial impact on the club.

Wynn Jones and Smith served as majority shareholders at Carrow Road for 26 years before relinquishing control in 2024, steering the team through several Premier League promotions. Following their transition away from ownership, both were appointed honorary life presidents, while former club chairman Ed Balls and ex-players Darren Huckerby and Darren Eadie praised Wynn Jones' dedication as a lifelong supporter.
