Tommy Conway set up Will Lankshear's winning goal for Middlesbrough

Tommy Conway's tactical adaptation paid off as Middlesbrough secured a victory against promotion rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Riverside. Conway, who was converted from a central striker to a left winger by manager Kim Hellberg, delivered a decisive left-footed cross that Will Lankshear headed home for the winning goal.
Middlesbrough's coaching staff focused heavily on encouraging the right-footed Scotland international to attack the outside of defenders rather than cutting inside. Hellberg praised Conway's development and work ethic after the match, noting that his ability to cross with his weaker foot caused persistent problems for defender Kieran Trippier.
