Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has compared Middlesbrough striker Will Lankshear to Bayern Munich star Harry Kane. Robinson told BBC Sport that Lankshear shares a similar physical stature and developing career trajectory to Kane, having also progressed through Tottenham Hotspur before gaining valuable senior experience in the lower tiers.
Lankshear joined Middlesbrough on a permanent five-year contract during the summer and has made an immediate impact under manager Kim Hellberg. The 21-year-old has scored nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this season, helping Boro rise to second place in the Championship table.
