Rocco Shein turned down an Estonia call-up so he could prioritise his health and Pompey

Estonia manager Jurgen Henn has affirmed that the door remains open for Portsmouth midfielder Rocco Shein despite the player turning down an international call-up. Shein opted out of the current international window to prioritize his physical health and focus on his club commitments under John Mousinho. Although Henn expressed disappointment, he stated he does not want to use exclusion as a form of punishment.
Shein, who signed for Portsmouth from Fredrikstad for £2.1m in the summer, has earned 25 international caps. In his absence, Estonia drew their opening Nations League fixtures against Iceland and Bulgaria. Meanwhile, Shein is expected to feature in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Chelsea ahead of Portsmouth's upcoming derby against Southampton.
