‘He didn’t score, did he?’ - Burton manager’s verdict after Billy Sharp’s performance against his side…

Burton Albion manager Gary Bowyer reflected on his side's 4-0 FA Cup first-round victory against non-league AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday. The match featured Sheffield United icon Billy Sharp, who came out of retirement to play for the Diamonds after regular striker James Clifton was suspended.
Bowyer noted that his team did their job by preventing the 40-year-old striker from scoring. The defeat brought an end to Sharp's bid to reach the milestone of 300 career goals, leaving him on 299.
