Charlton Athletic ended a huge run without a win by beating Sheffield United at the Valley…

Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones described his team's 2-1 victory over Sheffield United as his favorite result at the club, aside from their Wembley play-off win. The win at the Valley brought an end to a long winless stretch for the Addicks that had persisted since late August, easing mounting pressure on Jones following a difficult midweek loss to Bolton.
Millenic Alli opened the scoring for Charlton before Jordan Ayew equalized with his first goal for Sheffield United. Matty Godden then netted the decisive goal to secure three points, establishing a seven-point buffer above the Championship relegation zone despite the squad suffering multiple injuries throughout the week.
