Ex-Southampton midfielder Will Smallbone is reportedly set to reunite with his former manager Russell Martin at League One Leicester City.
Former Southampton midfielder Will Smallbone has signed a three-year contract with Leicester City, reuniting with manager Russell Martin. The 26-year-old midfielder was a free agent following the expiration of his Southampton contract earlier this summer. Smallbone previously played under Martin during Southampton's promotion-winning 2023/24 campaign.
Smallbone brings experience having made 90 appearances for Southampton and earning 15 senior caps for the Republic of Ireland. He becomes Martin's latest familiar signing at Leicester, joining former Southampton teammates Alex McCarthy and Kamari Doyle as the club aims to improve on a slow start to the season.
