Head coach Tonda Eckert believes it is important for his Southampton players to "have an entourage" that supports them off the pitch.
Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert has emphasized the importance of players building a personal off-pitch support network and investing in home recovery throughout their careers. Speaking to the Daily Echo, Eckert highlighted that while the club provides extensive resources at Staplewood, players benefit from personal entourages such as private analysts, physiotherapists, home gyms, and mental support.
Eckert noted that Southampton currently boasts strong squad availability in the Championship, with Caspar Jander's pre-season quad injury being their only major setback. He also pointed to striker Cyle Larin, who recently built a high-tech home gym to optimize recovery at a peak stage in his career.
