Make-or-break time for Southampton’s struggling star after the international break

Southampton forward Lewis Dobbin faces mounting pressure after failing to make an impact following his £9m transfer. Left winger Leo Scienza suffered an injury during Southampton's 2-1 defeat to Wrexham before the international break, potentially leaving manager Tonda Eckert with limited options ahead of the South Coast Derby against Portsmouth.

Dobbin represents the club's largest summer expense, ahead of £6m signing Daniel Peretz, but has recorded zero goals and zero assists across his first nine appearances. Meanwhile, alternative left-wing option Samuel Edozie is actively seeking a move away from St. Mary's.
