The Story in 60 Seconds

Burnley left-back Quilindschy Hartman has confirmed that Chelsea and Arsenal were interested in signing him while he was at Feyenoord. The Dutch defender stated that he has no regrets over missing out on moving to either Premier League side, explaining that a serious knee injury suffered in March 2024 prevented a potential transfer before he later signed for Burnley.

Hartman is currently on a season-long loan at La Liga club Espanyol, where he moved following Burnley's relegation from the top flight. The Netherlands international is contracted to Burnley until 2029 and admitted he remains uncertain about his long-term future once his current temporary spell in Spain concludes.
