Ben Whiteman believes Wrexham must become more dominant in possession if they are to realise their ambitions this season despite taking encouragement from their second-half display at the weekend.
Wrexham midfielder Ben Whiteman has called on his side to become more dominant in possession if they want to earn promotion. Whiteman scored alongside Joe Worrall, Sam Smith, and Kieffer Moore as Phil Parkinson's team secured a 4-1 Championship victory over Preston North End at The Racecourse.
Whiteman stressed that control of the ball is crucial for Championship success, warning that teams cannot wing their way through a season. Following the win, Wrexham climbed to 14th place with 14 points from their first 11 games ahead of a demanding winter schedule.
