Phil Parkinson returned to a two-striker system on Saturday but insists Wrexham's strength lies in having the flexibility to change shape depending on the opposition.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has stated that no decision has been made regarding his team's tactical formation for Saturday's match against Blackburn Rovers. Parkinson returned to a two-striker system in Wrexham's 4-1 home victory over Preston North End, but he emphasized that his squad possesses the tactical flexibility to adapt its shape based on each opponent.
Strikers Kieffer Moore and Sam Smith both scored during the win against Preston, which lifted Wrexham to 14th in the Championship table. Parkinson noted that while the 3-5-2 system proved effective, options including Nathan Broadhead, Josh Windass, Ollie Rathbone, and Lewis O'Brien give the team versatility to deploy variations like a 3-4-3 or a lone striker system.
