Wrexham’s Southampton revenge was perfect response after letting Phil Parkinson down

Wrexham secured a 2-1 victory over Southampton at the Racecourse in a Championship fixture, bouncing back from a 6-0 loss against West Ham United eight days prior. Kieffer Moore opened the scoring for Phil Parkinson's side by heading home a corner delivered by Ben Whiteman.

James Ward-Prowse equalized for Southampton following the interval as the visitors held 67 percent of possession. Wrexham sealed the victory in the 89th minute when Southampton defender Keven Schlotterbeck scored an own goal following a delivery across goal by Jacques Ekomié.
