Sheffield Wednesday should rekindle their pursuit of the Championship man this winter as they eye promotion from League One.

Harry Mail of The72 argues that Sheffield Wednesday should revive their interest in Birmingham City winger Scott Wright during the January transfer window. Wright previously drew interest from Wednesday in 2024 before joining Birmingham, where he has since fallen out of favor. With Wednesday sitting second in League One under head coach Henrik Pedersen, the writer suggests Wright would provide needed attacking firepower following consecutive scoreless draws.
The 29-year-old winger previously achieved League One promotion with Birmingham City under Chris Davies in 2025 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Dundee. Mail notes that Wright's contract expires in June 2027, making a permanent winter departure practical for Birmingham to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
