Javier Tebas made the controversial comments about Real Madrid on social media last week…
LaLiga president Javier Tebas has been referred to Spain's sports tribunal by the National Sports Council (CSD). The referral follows social media comments in which Tebas compared Real Madrid's communication strategy to Nazi propaganda methods used by Joseph Goebbels. The CSD requested the tribunal to determine if the statements breached rules protecting sporting dignity and decorum, which carry potential sanctions ranging from fines to suspension.
Real Madrid demanded Tebas' immediate resignation, criticizing his lack of neutrality and impartiality. In response, Tebas clarified that his remarks targeted the club's propaganda techniques rather than its ideology, maintaining that defending LaLiga's integrity against ongoing criticism is part of his institutional responsibilities.
