Next Man Utd manager: Antonio Conte and Fabian Hurzeler send clear message over job links

Antonio Conte and Fabian Hurzeler have both addressed speculation linking them to the Manchester United managerial role amid mounting pressure on current boss Michael Carrick. Conte released a statement on social media denying that he is in advanced negotiations with any club, labeling reports regarding excessive financial demands and personality concerns as unfounded. Meanwhile, Hurzeler dismissed the rumors, stating he is fully focused on Brighton and respects Carrick.

Carrick remains under intense scrutiny following a 4-1 Champions League defeat against Como, though Manchester United insist he will take charge against Bournemouth. Other managers linked with the role include Eddie Howe, Julian Nagelsmann, Cesc Fabregas, and Unai Emery. Reports indicate Hurzeler has no interest in leaving Brighton, where his contract lacks a release clause and would reportedly require a world-record compensation fee.
