Real Madrid striker Carlos Espí has been called up by Luis de la Fuente to replace Ferrán Torres in the Spain national squad for the remainder of the FIFA international break. Espí earned the senior selection following an impressive performance where he scored five goals for Spain's Under-21 team just days prior.
Espí joins fellow Real Madrid players Marc Cucurella and Dean Huijsen in the national team camp. Spain is scheduled to play the Czech Republic in Oviedo before concluding the international window with an away match against Croatia on Tuesday.
