Freezing out Andriy Lunin makes zero sense for Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid

Writer Hridyam Arora argues that freezing out goalkeeper Andriy Lunin makes no sense for Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho. According to a report from The Athletic, Lunin and defender Raul Asencio are not in Mourinho's plans this season. Alongside the injured Asencio, Lunin has not played a single minute so far during the current campaign.

While Arora finds Asencio's exclusion understandable due to injuries and off-pitch issues, he contends Lunin has been a reliable backup to Thibaut Courtois. The writer notes Lunin rarely complains about playing time and remains Real Madrid's most experienced alternative when Courtois needs rest.
