Former Real Madrid player Rafa Obrador revealed he did not hesitate to join Benfica in the summer of 2025, describing the transfer as a major opportunity. Speaking to AS, Obrador highlighted Benfica's status as a European contender and noted that playing in the Champions League represents a dream for any player.
Obrador is currently playing for Italian club Sassuolo on a loan deal. The full-back explained that he is adapting well to Serie A's physical demands, noting that Sassuolo's possession-based tactical system encourages him to play centrally rather than remaining solely on the wing.
