Between Zion Suzuki and Paris Saint-Germain, it’s the story of a missed meeting. However, there were many opportunities to unite.

Zion Suzuki completed a permanent transfer from Parma to Aston Villa for a fee of €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses after a proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed. PSG manager Luis Enrique targeted the Japanese goalkeeper, but negotiations broke down due to high agent commissions and Suzuki seeking guaranteed playing time rather than competing with Matvey Safonov.
Now playing under Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, Suzuki was recruited to replace Emiliano Martinez following the latter's departure to Chelsea. Suzuki has made multiple starts for Villa across the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup, accumulating 495 minutes on the pitch.
