Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has withdrawn from the England squad and faces up to two months sidelined with a thigh injury. Scott impressed on his full international debut during England's 7-0 victory against Croatia on Saturday, but his existing discomfort worsened after he decided to play through the pain.
Manager Thomas Tuchel must now reconfigure his midfield for Tuesday's Nations League match against Czechia and upcoming fixtures in November. James Garner and Myles Lewis-Skelly serve as Scott's replacements, while defender Ezri Konsa has also withdrawn from the squad.
