Scott has returned to Bournemouth with a quad injury that could keep him out for two months.

England manager Thomas Tuchel insisted he has a clear conscience after midfielder Alex Scott sustained a quad injury that could sideline him for two months. Scott played 70 minutes in England's 7-0 victory over Croatia before a post-match scan in London revealed the issue. Tuchel emphasized that England took zero risks, noting Scott had received medical clearance, trained fully, and expressed a strong desire to play.
Tuchel acknowledged understanding Bournemouth's frustration over losing a key player but reiterated that England maintained transparent communication with the club. Scott will miss England's upcoming Nations League match against the Czech Republic.
