Pundit Alan Shearer praised Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice for his strong second-half display in a 2-1 comeback victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. After a passive opening half, Arsenal recovered from 1-0 down through Riccardo Calafiori's equalizer and a 70th-minute winning goal from substitute Bruno Guimaraes. Shearer highlighted that both Guimaraes and Rice significantly improved the team's ball movement after the break.
Rice set up Guimaraes' decisive goal with a back flick, capping an impressive outing that featured 89 touches and nine duels won. The victory moved Arsenal to 15 points through six Premier League matches, keeping them level on points with leaders Manchester City ahead of a Champions League tie against Lille.
