The Story in 60 Seconds

Toby Bryant of GiveMeSport writes that Aston Villa striker Nicolas Jackson answered past criticism from Alan Shearer by scoring twice in a victory against Manchester City. Jackson converted both of Aston Villa's shots on target during the match, bringing his early-season tally to seven goals in 11 appearances across all competitions under manager Unai Emery.

Shearer had previously criticized the Senegal international for poor movement and missed chances during his three-year spell at Chelsea.
