Bayern Munich will look to sign 34-year-old English international Nick Pope in a bargain move from Newcastle United next summer.

Bayern Munich is reportedly considering a permanent move to sign Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope next summer. The Bavarian club is planning for life after Manuel Neuer, who could retire following the 2026/27 campaign. Bayern reportedly sees Jonas Urbig as their future primary goalkeeper and is targeting an experienced backup to support him.
The 34-year-old Pope has fallen down the pecking order at Newcastle behind Ewen Jaouen and Lukas Hornicek under manager Matthias Jaissle. Pope is one of several veteran options on Bayern's shortlist, alongside Oliver Baumann, Bernd Leno, Koen Casteels, Kevin Trapp, and Rui Silva.
