Estevao has not had the start he would have liked to his second season at Chelsea, with reports highlighting Barcelona's interest in the Brazilian

Chelsea consider 19-year-old winger Estevao Willian an untouchable squad member despite his limited minutes and reported interest from Barcelona. After managing just 23 minutes across the first five Premier League matches under new head coach Xabi Alonso, speculation emerged regarding the Brazilian's frustration and potential January transfer interest. However, Alonso affirmed Estevao's long-term importance to the squad, praising the teenager's attitude and mentality in adapting to the team.
Barcelona sporting director Deco is reportedly monitoring Estevao's situation closely, having tracked him since his time at Palmeiras. Amid Alonso's preferred 3-4-3 system featuring Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Joao Pedro, former Chelsea forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink urged Alonso to alter his tactical setup to a 4-2-3-1 formation to integrate the talented winger into the starting lineup.
