Danny Mills: Everton asset sales are a worry under Friedkin

Danny Mills stated that Everton supporters should be more concerned about losing key players than owner Dan Friedkin's absence from matches. Everton completed four permanent departures on transfer deadline day, generating over £90 million in guaranteed fees. The departures included Iliman Ndiaye joining Manchester City for £65 million, Beto moving to Fiorentina for approximately £15 million, Tim Iroegbunam joining Hull City, and Nathan Patterson transferring to Torino.

Everton brought in Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a permanent transfer alongside Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City, while a £40 million move for Monaco's Folarin Balogun collapsed. Manager David Moyes previously noted he had not spoken directly with Friedkin, leaving Everton with a smaller squad and Thierno Barry as the sole senior specialist center-forward.
