Tim Sherwood claims Richarlison’s failed summer return to Everton is a shame for all parties, as the striker remains sidelined at Tottenham.

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood expressed disappointment that Tottenham Hotspur did not facilitate a return to Everton for forward Richarlison during the summer transfer window. The Brazilian forward remained at Spurs beyond deadline day and was subsequently omitted from their Premier League squad. Sherwood noted that an exit would have benefited both the player and his former club.
Everton reportedly sought attacking reinforcements after a ÂŁ40 million move for Monaco striker Folarin Balogun collapsed. Following the failed pursuit of Richarlison, who originally joined Tottenham from Everton for ÂŁ60 million in 2022, manager David Moyes has utilized Thierno Barry as his primary central striking option.
