Florian Wirtz impressed for Liverpool against Brighton but was dealt two blows…

Florian Wirtz suffered an ankle knock and was forced off in the second half of Liverpool's Premier League victory against Brighton. The German playmaker had earlier scored via a deflection off Gross following a cross from Bradley Barcola. After a challenge with Yasin Ayari, Wirtz left the pitch and went directly down the tunnel, replaced by Trey Nyoni.
Manager Andoni Iraola confirmed after the match that Wirtz sustained a small ankle twist, raising fitness concerns amid a congested fixture schedule. The home victory lifted Liverpool into fourth place in the Premier League table, securing their fourth consecutive win across all competitions.
