A former Liverpool star has recalled a conversation he had with Jamie Carragher after visiting a pub

Former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll revealed in his autobiography that Jamie Carragher warned him never to return to a rough local pub after a brawl erupted during his visit. Carroll had gone to the venue with former teammate Kevin Nolan shortly after his transfer to Liverpool in 2011, but a fight broke out between rival supporters, forcing him to escape through the back exit.
Carragher contacted Carroll immediately afterward to caution him about the dangers of visiting such establishments. Carroll joined Liverpool from Newcastle United for a British record fee of £35 million in January 2011, later departing for West Ham United after scoring 11 goals in 58 appearances across his spell at Anfield.
