Liverpool have signed an exciting sensation, he's confirmed it himself.
Goalkeeper Hayden Smith has confirmed on Instagram that he has signed for Liverpool on a permanent professional contract. The young prospect arrives from Steven Gerrard's Academy, where he previously trained with former Liverpool academy goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin, and is expected to initially join the club's Under-21 squad.
The signing reflects Liverpool's broader transfer strategy under sporting director Richard Hughes and director of global football Pedro Marques to aggressively target young talent. Recent additions to the academy setup include Armin Pecsi, Mor Talla Ndiaye, and Samuel Martinez as the club builds toward the future.
