Manchester United midfielder Jack Fletcher was sent off for a high challenge as England Under-20s beat Germany 2-1 in Spain.

Manchester United midfielder Jack Fletcher received a straight red card shortly before half-time during England Under-20s' 2-1 victory over Germany in Spain. The 19-year-old was dismissed for a high studs-up tackle on Boris Lum while England led 1-0. Despite playing with 10 men, Darren Moore's side held on to win following a second-half goal from Kian Noble.
Fletcher was making his first start of the international break after previously being an unused substitute against Italy and France. Fellow Manchester United academy prospects Shea Lacey, Harry Amass, and Ayden Heaven also started, while Jim Thwaites came on as a substitute. The sending-off marks another disciplinary setback for Fletcher, who previously served a six-match ban in March.
