Manchester United midfielder Jack Fletcher was sent off with a straight red card during England Under-20s' 2-1 victory over Germany in Spain. The 19-year-old was dismissed shortly before half-time for a dangerous studs-up tackle on Boris Lum while Darren Moore's team held a 1-0 lead.
Despite playing with 10 men, England held on for victory after Kian Noble doubled their lead early in the second half. Fletcher was one of four United academy players to start the match alongside Shea Lacey, Harry Amass, and Ayden Heaven, with Jim Thwaites later featuring as a substitute.
