Young played under Conte at Inter Milan, where they won a Serie A title together, and says that Manchester United's players would be unhappy with his love for running and lengthy meetings.

Ashley Young has claimed that appointing Antonio Conte as manager of Manchester United would be a disaster. Speaking on the Overlap Daily show, Young argued that United's squad would struggle with Conte's intense physical running demands, repetitive tactical sessions, and lengthy post-match meetings. Conte is currently out of work after leaving Napoli, having expressed a desire in a recent interview to manage and restore a fallen giant club.
Young played under Conte during their Serie A title-winning campaign at Inter Milan. While acknowledging that Conte's rigorous conditioning extended his playing career, Young noted that the Italian's demanding approach often frustrates players and boards. Manchester United, currently managed by Michael Carrick, are enduring a difficult season and sit 13th in the Premier League table.
