“Can’t believe it!”: Rio Ferdinand makes “gutted” Ayyoub Bouaddi to Man United transfer admission

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand expressed his disappointment on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast after the club failed to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi during the summer transfer window. Ferdinand stated that Manchester United were fully interested in the former Lille midfielder, but the high transfer fee led to rivals Manchester City securing his signature instead.

Manchester United ultimately restructured their midfield following Casemiro's departure by signing Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Carlos Baleba on permanent deals. Ferdinand praised Bouaddi's recent performance against Paris Saint-Germain, claiming the 19-year-old could eventually become the best among Manchester City's midfield options.
