The ex-Manchester United star left the club in contentious circumstances

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra revealed that he swore at and threatened former executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward after the club unilaterally triggered a one-year contract extension in 2014. Evra had previously agreed to a two-year contract with Juventus and informed Woodward of his desire to leave Old Trafford for family reasons.
Following the confrontation and an intervention from Ryan Giggs, Evra eventually completed a £1.2 million permanent transfer to Juventus two months later. The French defender went on to reach the Champions League final with the Serie A club in 2015 before later spells with Marseille and West Ham.
