Sir Alex Ferguson has opened up in detail about his near-fatal health scare back in 2018. The legendary Manchester United manager, now 84, suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has opened up about his near-fatal 2018 brain hemorrhage while promoting his new book on BBC Breakfast. The 84-year-old revealed that he was terrified after doctors gave him only a 20 percent chance to live following emergency surgery, noting that he was one of only two survivors among five hemorrhage patients admitted that day.
Ferguson also shared that he temporarily lost his voice following the operation, requiring speech therapy exercises such as writing down names of animals and rivers to recover his speech. Additionally, Ferguson reflected on nearly quitting soccer early in his career to move to Canada, as well as his early management of David Beckham.
