Man United’s options are set to increase ahead of must-win game
Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has returned to training and could be available for Sunday's clash against Leeds United at Elland Road. Head coach Michael Carrick confirmed that the Morocco international participated in training after missing matches against Tottenham and Atletico Madrid due to an injury sustained on international duty. Carrick noted that Mazraoui's return to the group is a positive step for the squad.
Carrick also addressed other squad fitness concerns, indicating that Matthijs de Ligt is unlikely to start as the club eases him back following nearly a year out. Lisandro Martinez will be included in the squad after apologizing for his public criticism of the board, while Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo remain doubtful for the match.
