Manchester United are considering former Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe as a potential successor to Michael Carrick if a change is made.

Manchester United will reportedly consider a move for former Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe if they decide to sack Michael Carrick. Although INEOS has chosen not to dismiss Carrick despite a difficult start to the season, Howe is viewed internally as a suitable potential successor should results fail to improve.
Howe has been out of work since departing Newcastle in the summer. According to reports, United value the 48-year-old manager for his top-flight experience, having managed in both the Premier League and the Champions League during his managerial career.
