Alan Shearer visited Keith Dungait at his home in Morpeth to thank him for walking 2,775 steps to raise money for charity. Dungait, who was told he might never walk again following a severe spinal cord injury in 2018, took on the challenge as part of the Alan Shearer Foundation's 'Move a Mile' campaign.
During the visit, Dungait presented Shearer with a cheque for £2,775. The donation supports the Foundation's Million Pound Mission, an appeal launched in April 2026 to fund a second hydrotherapy pool at the Alan Shearer Centre in Newcastle.
