Amanda Staveley, the ex-Newcastle United co-owner, has spoken out on the punishment Manchester City could receive after they were found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules

Former Newcastle United director Amanda Staveley has addressed Manchester City's financial charges verdict, urging the Premier League to focus on the future and find a resolution. Speaking at the Leaders conference at Stamford Bridge, Staveley acknowledged the difficult position facing league executives when managing conflicting interests among clubs. Staveley originally brokered Sheikh Mansour's takeover of Manchester City in 2008.
The Premier League recently found Manchester City guilty of financial breaches covering 2009/10 to 2017/18, alleging the club artificially inflated revenues via sponsorship deals. City denied all wrongdoing and officially appealed the ruling, asserting they hold evidence proving their innocence.
