Eddie Howe is reportedly considering an extended break from management following his departure from Newcastle United in July. According to reports, the 48-year-old currently has no plans for an immediate managerial return and intends to spend time with his family after nearly five years leading Newcastle.
Managing England remains a long-term goal for Howe, while Manchester United reportedly holds an admiration for him. Dan Ashworth had previously targeted Howe to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, though the club ultimately hired Ruben Amorim before Michael Carrick took over.
