Ivan Toney has never closed the door on a return to the Premier League, but even after claims from Saudi Arabia that Matthias Jaissle wants to sign him, the reality of a deal is difficult…

Reports from Saudi Arabian outlet Win Win claim Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle wants a reunion with striker Ivan Toney. However, a transfer remains unlikely because Toney earns £500,000 per week at Al-Ahli, whereas Newcastle's top earners average around £150,000 weekly.
The 30-year-old forward is contracted until 2028, making even a loan deal expensive. Furthermore, the transfer framework between Newcastle and fellow PIF-owned clubs is not straightforward, and Toney has stated he is settled in Saudi Arabia.
