Some big decisions lie ahead for Newcastle United in their clash against Coventry City and Matthias Jaissle will stick to his policy

Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle confirmed that Dan Burn and Joelinton are set to start on the bench against Frank Lampard's Coventry City despite receiving medical clearance. Both experienced players have returned to training following lengthy injury absences. Jaissle stated that while the duo has the potential to make the squad, neither will be included in the starting lineup.
Jaissle noted that the international break helped ease Newcastle's injury crisis, which previously saw nine players sidelined. Anthony Elanga and Tino Livramento remain the club's only long-term absentees. As a result of Burn and Joelinton remaining on the bench, Sven Botman and 18-year-old Sean Steur could retain their starting roles against the newly promoted Sky Blues.
