Sunderland were last season's surprise package in the Premier League, but this time they are struggling after Coventry handed them their sixth defeat.
Sunderland face a contrasting season as strong Europa League form clashes with a domestic relegation battle. While the Black Cats are ninth in Europe and have a trip to AC Milan in December, a 3-1 defeat to Coventry City leaves them bottom of the Premier League after nine matches without a win since August.
Manager Regis Le Bris highlighted the demanding schedule, defensive mistakes, and 17 goals conceded as key issues behind their domestic struggles. Captain Granit Xhaka also criticized recurring errors, noting that the team must show character to overcome their difficult league position.
