Work on the new community pitch will begin this week, with completion expected in spring 2027.

Work is scheduled to begin this week on a £1.2 million upgrade to Aberdeen's Cormack Park training ground to install a third community pitch. The initiative, led by the Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), is projected for completion in spring 2027.
The project is backed by funding from The Pitching In Fund, the Scottish FA, the Scottish Football Partnership Trust, Intelligent Play technology, and the Cormack Family Foundation. According to AFCCT chief executive Peter Davidson, the facility will expand local grassroots access, enhance community football programs, and support underrepresented groups including girls' and women's football.
