Chris Sutton has warned Celtic supporters not to expect prime Jota upon his return, arguing that the Portuguese winger is not the same player who starred under former manager Ange Postecoglou. Writing in the Daily Record, Sutton stated that Jota had already lost some of his initial sparkle before suffering a major injury and does not currently fit into Celtic's strongest starting lineup.
Jota recently played 45 minutes in a bounce match against Falkirk after spending more than 500 days sidelined with a severe injury. Sutton urged patience, noting that manager Martin O'Neill should not rush the winger, while also praising the contributions of fellow attackers Yang and Hassan.
