O'Neill says he can still have a future at the club and has challenged him to earn his way back into the team…
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has spoken out regarding midfielder Luke McCowan's status, confirming the 28-year-old remains in his plans despite recent squad omissions. McCowan has been left out of match-day squads since a defeat to Rangers on September 20, having made only seven substitute appearances this campaign following a dip in confidence.
O'Neill praised McCowan's training standards and indicated he could feature against Falkirk as the manager considers squad rotation ahead of a Europa League match with Besiktas. The manager noted that while players inevitably grow frustrated without game time, McCowan still has opportunities to work his way back into contention.
