Celtic star Mika Baur shares special moment with Jurgen Klopp before Germany debut
Celtic midfielder Mika Baur shared a warm touchline moment with Germany manager Jurgen Klopp before making his international debut in a 2-0 Nations League victory against Serbia. The 22-year-old came on for the final 14 minutes of the match, officially becoming the 1,000th player to represent the German national team. Klopp embraced Baur, kissed him on the cheek, and delivered final instructions prior to his introduction.
Germany had already built their 2-0 lead through goals from Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz before Baur entered the pitch. Following his selection for fixtures against Serbia and Greece, Baur credited his transfer to Celtic with accelerating his progression to the senior national side.
